Aluminum Radiator
Hey guys,
I'm looking to upgrade from the stock unit..anyone have recommendations for an aluminum radiator that's not $700!
Summit sells 'Summit' brand ones for about $250..anybody used one?
Even better, anyone have a used Griffin/Be Cool one for sale?
Thanks

Re: Aluminum Radiator
TGO has a write up on it about a 3 core rad that everyone is using for LS swaps. just type in 3 core rad into the search. I would have posted it but im on my phone and its next to useless on the net. Im running a brand new specter stock 3rd gen one and never have had a issue yet

Re: Aluminum Radiator
Thank man, Here's the thread.. http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/cooli ... -want.htmlBut sounds like they are pretty risky for leaking..but I guess that's what $200 gets you. I've still been running my stock rad and have replaced the plastic tanks twice on it, maybe I'll just stick with it.

I would spend the money on one of these and not think twice about it: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/MISHIMOTO-82-92- ... 77&vxp=mtr

Re: Aluminum Radiator
Ya, that's more like it.. Looks like a better unit. I've never heard of Mishimoto before.
Have you used one of these?

Re: Aluminum Radiator
I've ran a few mishimotos over the years with 0 issues.
They made there name in the import aftermarket scene initially but theyve been trying to get there foot in the door of domestic market in recent years.
This is not knockoff cheap $hit either. Quality products that I always hear good things about.
Ray, do it. You won't regret it! Its a lot better then that hit or miss "champion" rad you hear ppl talking about on TGO.

Re: Aluminum Radiator
Ok I'll give one a try..thanks for the info.
Another alternative is the 31x19 universal griffin for about $200 but it requires a little trimming anitting than I don't want to do to the car.

Re: Aluminum Radiator
Looks really nice! I may have to get my buddy to order me one (he has a motovicity account so can probably get a good price for me). Would go nice when I do an LS swap.......
