requirements to get a car back on the road
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone know what the legal requirements are for cars that have been in accidents to get back on the road, especially when there may be some straightening for a tweaked body. Is a safety absolutely required when finished? Are there other things like some kind of structural certification?
thanks.

Hey Daryl, I found out from a friend last night, after we spoke, that you don't need to have air bags for a safety.

Re: requirements to get a car back on the road
Daryl is the original owner in this case and not the seller so can he just do the repairs himself and not go thru getting a Safety Certificate? As far as I know this car has not been "branded" as it has not been determined by anyone not to be road worthy. Can he just do the repairs himself and carry on driving the car ? I don't see why not, but I don't know everything.

If your insurance knows about it they may ask for a safety but otherwise drive on
