Is that a 2-door or 4-door Camaro?
I remember the old days when parts counters used to ask if your Camaro had 2 or 4-doors. Right away you knew you had a winner at the parts counter. Someone obviously very experienced.
I would always say "yes" to the 4-door part at first.
Then order a couple of "muffler bearings" followed by a can of "Noil". When they give up looking for the bearings. I would point to a set of oxy/acetylene torches where it says the following words in the pressure guage. "Use No Oil".
On the way out, I would ask them to point me in the direction of the "ball peen wrenches".
Cheers, Ken

Guy I worked with sent a kid to get a pair of metric vise grips once. He was gone a long time but I think that was the plan!

First real job I had as a kid working in a factory. It was standard practice for all new comers ....they were sent down to the steam room on the 2nd floor to bring up a bucket of steam ...asap. Some of us were the wiser.....others were not.

That's a funny one. A Pontiac G8 = 4-door Camaro. In all fairness I should admit that I did my time at a parts counter too. I worked for a speed/custom shop back in the early 80's. I would answer the phone and a customer would ask "Do you sell tunnel-rams?". Of course we do sir. What car is it for? Pardon me but did you say a Volvo?. After hearing snickering in the background... "Dave is that you? Damn, I've been had! Again!" Cheers, Ken

I always sent the fresh co-op kids in my shop to the parts department for a long weight

The best is when you ask the parts guy for a Thermostat for a 1966 VW Beetle, or a set of plug wires fora '93 Oldsmobile Achieva with the 2.3l 4 cylinder.
