Any Internet service alternatives?
What's the best deal for high speed internet service in the GTA ? Rogers Cable 150 GB Extreme Plus plan is $83.00 /month. I never exceeded the above but an imposed limit frustrates me. There's also no monthly credit offered for data purchased that's not used. Anyone enjoy unlimited cheap web access besides sitting in a Starbucks?

I am on TekSavvy, 400GB/month costs me roughly $45. Can't remember what speed I choose, but it's more than fast enough for what we use it for (mostly Netflix)

I have bell. about $67/month unlimited usage. As for speed, I think mine is in the middle but certainly fast enough for everyday use and for things like netflix. I am not sure if they still offer that or not and bell might require you to have other bell services with them..not sure?

Unlimited around the same price. I'll average (speedtest.net) 25-27 mbps down and 23-25 mbps up. More than enough for what I use it for. Netflix and some online gaming.

Primus
$75/ month Unlimited data, phone service with features (call display etc..)..THe slowest data package that they have but speedtest clocks it almost 7MBPS most times.. Mine come with free long distance also. This is old school Landline that VOIP. They use the Bell DSL line. 4 yrs no complaints and you get aeroplan miles too per payment

Re: Any Internet service alternatives?
I also have Bell Fibe 25 service and very happy with it for the price, but make no mistake about it, rogers NEW highspeed services they offer everyone is leaps and bounds faster than Bell's.
A good friend of mine has the Rogers Extreme 150 package and he consistently gets 180+ Mbps down and about 10Mbps up. Its the $80'ish dollar package plus i think he pays an additional small fee for unlimited data.
To my fellow Bell Fibe users, did you opt for the $10/month extra for the unlimited data? Mine seems to have a 100GB cap for $61.95/month, but since my company is majority owned by Bell I get all the Bell employee discounts which is 35% off all bell services.
If i didnt get the Employee discount, Id be a rogers cable internet subscriber strictly for that MASSIVE difference in bandwidth speed!

Re: Any Internet service alternatives?
I may look into the unlimited option with Rogers. I have multiple users accessing the web at once so bandwidth is critical.

http://www.blogto.com/tech/2014/07/inte ... _and_bell/The new deals from Rogers are good, but be sure to check for the real cost after the 3 month discount expires.
