hi guys im looking for a 350 for my 85 z28 and found one that runs great with these numbers on the block and heads owner says its a 350 with 400 vette heads here are the numbers block#3970010, engine id#k0406cmj any help would be great

With 350's theyre all about the same. This just depends on how good it was rebuilt and/or if youre pushing the limits of the block. IMO unless youre going radical on RPM or forced induction the "high nickel" blocks are not really necessary. I would look into quality of the build,parts,condition and mileage

If Lotstas still has that engine forsale , just buy it , you can't buy the parts that are in it for what he's asking and atleast you know what you're getting.
As far as the one your looking at there's a whole lot more info needed [including price ] to know if it's any kind of deal but I kind of doubt it considering he either knows nothing about what he's got or is trying to con you with the infamous " Has Corvette part "
Almost as good as the guy that once told me his 305 had been bored and stroke to a 350
