Post Catalytic Converters
So, this isn't really urgent, but I've decided that the intermittent rattling of the inside of the Cat on my truck is begining to annoy me enough that I am going to have to get a new one.

Is there anything other than OEM that's worth considering?? I've had bad experiences with some aftermarket cats.....and I don't really want a high flow (seen too many emission issues). If it makes a difference I will likely get a cat-back, and possibly a bigger y-pipe when I get the cat done.

Secondly, can anyone recommend a place that has good prices on catalytic converters??? I think I know of one place (Muffler Express) but I always like to check around.

I can get pretty good deals on Magnaflow cats. The bullet cats pass emissions fine if they're placed properly but they also do regular style cats.

you might not want bigger exhaust on the truck...bigger is not always better, went to true duals on my dually and it lost pulling power like a b**ch. engine, chip is tuned to what you have, change it and it could be worse without adjusting programming

Only reason I was thinking bigger y-pipe is because it tends to be one of the 'common mods' for the s-series trucks...apparently the stock one is really restrictive :S

Thanks for all the feedback though, I am running all Magnaflow on my Camaro and love it....but it doesn't need emissions anyway....I just want something that is going to last....My dad got some random aftermarket Cat on his STS last year and 6 months later it was rattling again.
