t5 tranny help
hello im getting ready to pull out my tranny how do i remove the clutch cable and im adding headers to my 305 do i need to buy a new y pipe or just mod mine thanks for any info

some headers you can buy a Y-pipe that fits them. I think hedman and hooker sell Y-pipes for there headers. What side of the cable do you want to remove. If its out of the bellhousing its 2 bolts and it comes off

Can you define clutch cable? Because 85 5-speed equipped F-bodys should have a hydraulic operated clutch master and slave cylinder, meaning there is no clutch cable.
As for how to remove it or move it out of the way, theres 2x bolts, one on the top of the slave and one on the bottom, unbolt them and just move the slave out of the way. It should be attached to a formed black nylon plastic line and ti can just dangle off that.
AFAIK only 82-84 3rd gens equipped with 4-speed t-10's used a clutch cable.
