Yeah, bad enough that 6L's seem to have gone up in price since I bought the last two.


I'd like an Alum one, but cant seem to even find a good caddy cast one :P

How many S/BBC's have you bought? More than two so they must be worse. LOL

Sold the 5.3 I bought and one of the 6L's so I only have one right now. It's in the process of being built but no rush, the bird is a long way from road ready.

If your planning on making HP don't waste your time or money looking for an alumimum block the cast iron block is a lot better choice.
And if your planning on boosting one get a 5.3 [stronger yet ] The 5.3 cyl walls are thick enough that you can bore it out and make a 6L out of it [ got a few of those to do in the not too distant future]
Also if you ever end up with a motor with the Tia rods , they have a habbit of welding themselves to each other when you really try to push them
