Springs & Shocks?
Got a 95 Formula...I'm still on the original suspension except for a couple ball joints and tie-rod ends and the car is in need of some badly needed attention...springs are shot and the sway bar mounts are moaning over every curb I go over... I don't want to lower the car due to the low front end bumper and aftermarket air scoop under the car that already scrapes speed bumps, although there is probably enough sag in the OE springs to give an appearance of a 1" drop already So short story long, just wondering what spring/shock combo peeps have used to get a slightly lowered set up and still maintain a decent ride without shaking your kindeys loose...keep in mind I don't Autocross or track drive the car, it would just be a medium budget street application. Also going to replace the front and rear sway bar mounts and end links and just wondering if the Energy-Suspension mounts are worth the bother to increase handling or not? The trailing arm and pan-hard mounts are probably dried out too and will also be replaced... Any input is appreciated

Note that im talking about the pro-kit and not the Sportlines. Sportlines are for a really low ride. Pro-Kit is not drastic or aggressive. 1-1.5" drop all around and an excellent ride. As for shocks that really depends on your budget. You could probably get away with some KYB GR2's which is essentially an OE replacement shock but ever so slightly better or you could spend a bit more and get some adjustability so you can make the ride firmers or softer depending on how you're feeling. Something like the Tokico Illuminas, KYB AGX or Koni Yellow's. Bilsteins are an excellent shock as well. And, the Energy Suspension poly kit is a great upgrade for these cars. Made a massive difference on mine, thats for sure.

Re: Springs & Shocks?
Im running new stock springs and kyb agx adjustable shocks and i like the ride. If you want the lowered look but not too low i know Hotchis or however you spell it makes a 1" drop spring which is likely what your after. While your at it i would change your front and rear swaybar bushings and end links. If you want to swap out your lca and phb bushings your getting off buying a kit from Founders Performance which im pretty sure is $107US for quality LCA's and Panhard Bar which has new bushings and will help planting power and get rid of the weak factory bars. Thats a good start just depends how far you want to go with it.

Re: Springs & Shocks?
Thanks for the info...but a question I have is I've heard that if you lower the car the LCA's and panhard bar need to be adjustable to work right...can I get away with non adjustable components with only a 1 to 1.5 inch drop and will the factory torque arm be affected? Looked up Founders Performance and the prices look good to me...

Re: Springs & Shocks?
I dont think you need adjustables even on lowered cars. A good idea if you choose lowering springs is to get the lca relo brackets which go with that since your lowering the angle of the lca point it actually goes flat and creates wheel hop and shitty traction. The relo bracket corrects that angle when you lower your car to keep it not flat and get the power to the ground and preventing wheel hop. Just make sure you get both poly ended bushings, mine are poly/rod and im swapping mine out as im trying to fix all the noises and vibrations in my car next year. Like i was saying though Founders Performance has great product reviews and half the price of UMI and BMR. Good Christmas gift ideas What id buy Energy Suspension Poly Swaybar Bushings Energy Suspension Poly Swaybar End Links Hotchis 1" Drop Springs KYB GR2 or KYB AGX Shocks Founders Performance LCA's, Panhard Bar, and LCA relo brackets.

Shows as 158$Cdn for the kit on sale. That's a pretty cheap price, can't see how they can do it for that price.
