Hey all, I was just wondering, if the ABS INOP is lit on the dash of a 4th gen, will this cause the car to fail a certification inspection? I had reinstalled the airbag and original steering wheel and the light is still on. The original owner had installed a Momo steering wheel, so I am not sure exactly what he had done to the Airbag system. It seems that everything is plugged in as it should be. But the dash light is still on. But I need to have it safetied so I need to know if it will pass this way. |

Nope you don't need ABS to pass a safety, mine passed with it on. You do need air bags to pass a legit safety and will fail if the airbag light is on. |

Yeah, I 'm not use to all these new fangled gadgets. I 'm too old school Anyhow, it is the abs system, not the airbags.. doh!!! I guess I will just have to take in for a safety and hope for the best. If they question the abs light, I will address it then. |

As I said mine was on and it passed. |
