Vats Issue I think????
Hey Guys,
So I bought my car knowing there was somewhat of a VATS issue. Here's the story. Cars starts and runs perfect when cold however, ifyou take it on a trip and she's fairly warm outside and inside the cabin I start to get issues. Let's say I take the car over to grab something and it's warm outside like yesterday. If I shut it off walk in do what I need to do and then come out and try to restart the vats kicks in. I wait 5 minutes and usually it will start on the first try. I've already re done the resistor because I didn't like the previous owners work. Do you guys think the module is fried or on it's way out? I'm probably going to have a chip built by a local guy who does a complete datalog and I might just get him to by pass the vats if I can't figure it out. Any suggestions of things to try??

Re: Vats Issue I think????
I had the same issue with my 95 TA..Ignition power to the starter solenoid is weak and can barely energize it.Cause could be ignition switch,or drain on as soon as you rturn on the key..like amps, alarm etc..One way to get around is to get a relay to power the starter solenoid and use the ignition wire getting to it to energize the relay.Fog light b30 amp relay is good enough

OK I'm new to this vats crap but why would the lack of power initiate the VATS? When is happens It acts like vats no fuel pump, no starter. Dead key essentially then after I wait out the reset it will start

OK.I assumed there's a click somewhat. It could be vats or the ignition switch itself.
