Just wondering what people have been able to pass emissions here with. I have a 96 so it will have to go through the 2 speed idle test. I am in the process of ordering a cam from AI, however, they are unfamiliar with the emission requirements here and wanted me to let them know what cam specs will pass. As I am not too knowledgeable about this, I was hoping some of you guys could chime in. The cam will be going into a stock bottom end with aftermarket ported heads if that makes any difference. Thanks! |

I had a 230/230 .600 lift 112lsa that passed with the old system. The limits are higher now too. It will depend on the pcm tuning forsure. I set my idle to 1150 rpm to smooth things out for the test. I had longtubes with 2 full size magnaflow cats. |

Keeping your intake and exhaust duration around 230 and make sure its cut on a 112lsa to keep the idle quality better. I passed with a 223/230 112lsa and the idle turned up. Im sure if AI ran there common 226/234 grind with a 112lsa over the 110lsa it would pass with good tuning. |

That will depend on What compression you have. LT1s get away with it because of its cooling and some L98 because intake and pistons were nodded with it. IMHO 9.5:1 compression is the minimum for a 220+/230 duration(.050) that will make you pass easily.. |
