I've been messing with HPTuners and looks more involved than previous GenI stuff. While some of the concepts are the same, the pain in the ass part is getting the speed density tune AND the MAF tune to play nice with each other. I'll have more info on this in the spring when I get to mess with tuning in warmer temps so I can chime in more on my experience with it.

It is, theres more detail/ more indepth to the LSx's and other ODBII but the goal/target is still the same.

Basicaly more info to play with, so it can be fine tuned more.

Made a change to my tunning, do to the new Street racing law, I only tune the daily driving part now, so PE mode (Wide Open Throttle) will have to be tuned on a dyno.

sorry for any inconveinencess, but it is safer for both your car and my licence because to tune WOT I have to drive WOT ;)

Also, I now have the equipment to do the 94-95 LT1 and the 96-97 LTx ODB1 conversion's. I am not posting them in the origanal thread yet because I have yet to do a 94-97 LT1/LT4 car and thus am in the learning stage.

Retiring! What about my car 'ya bastard! :D

Im not sure if mine will need a tune, i did the basic stuff, removed DTC's for the stuff i deleted, deleted vats, got rid of tq. management, tuned in stuff for my cooling fans, changed speedo stuff, got rid of signals for evap.

Its just an LS6 intake, CAI, Headers w/ high flo Y. Not sure if bumping the timing would do much, but id like to put a LS6 cam in it this summer, it doesnt need a tune for that, but im sure it couldnt hurt.

Just wondering if you received my pm Adrian? I need a stock 350TPI chip. I don't want to run the supercharger system with the hypertech performance chip in there now.

Ya I got it, having some personal demons/health issues right now so I am not really into the car thing at the moment, sorry

Tony I explained it all to John today, he's gunna look in your ECM to see if you got a Hypertech Memcal, or a Hypertech memcal adapter, if u got the hypertech adapter then your stock memcal is still in there.

BUT If you have to hypertech memcal then you gotta do it 2 way's, either buy a memcal adapter to run the stock chip but it would then use the hypertech limp mode and timing retard, or u need to buy another stock memcal

If the dealer doesnt have the stock memcal for your car then you can buy the stock memcal here

I hope that helps, sorry I took so long to get back to you

Post subject:  Re: Tuning

Ladies and gents, for a limited time I am once again doing some ODB1 tuning.

Prices will vary upon the project, once again it is only driving tuning, so you can cruise and enjoy your ride.

WOT tuning must be done on a Dyno and is available, wideband would be used to get your a/f ratio good.

Club sponsor Dasilva Motorsports has a dyno, I have worked with them in the past, but I do not know his costs.

PM me to discuss your project
