Only used Dynamat. There's also HushMat. Using it under the carpet? Sound or heat or both?

Dynamat advertises noise and heat insulation. They also have other products (dynaliner and dynapad) that can be used alone or in conjunction with Dynamat. Hushmat seems more oriented to noise. Don't know about EZCool.

You can get Dynamat is 4, 12, 36 & 72 sq ft packages. It's friggin heavy so you may want to shop where you can pick it up as shipping into Canada would be pricy. Where are you? Out west somewhere?

I run Dynamat Xtreme in my IROC. Works great. I used Dynamat when I competed in car audio.

36 sq ft did almost half my car. I ordered mine from sonicelectronix.com and had them ship to my house.

Second Skin works very well as well.

I used a 35 sq ft package of Hushmat from Performance Improvements. That amount gets you from the firewall blanket to the wells below the rear seats in an 86 Camaro. Definitely an improvement (combined with the OEM insulation) however I can't offer any comparison. I found that it was reasonably priced too at $199 which was as good or better than US on-line pricing.

How much weight does this add to the car?

A 35 sq ft (+/-) package weighs in at 22 lbs.

Dynamat Xtreme is 0.45lbs/sq ft. so a 36sf pack would be ~16 lbs
