He text me in the middle of the night thinking his TOB was seized/f**ked up until i told him you had to pull the clutch fork down and out of the TOB first :)

Saved me from throwing a wrench at someone...

Here are the pics of the stock clutch. Something wrong here?

Picked up the wrong TOB so back to PI to get the proper one along with new flywheel and pressure plate bolts. Traded a set of 17x9's for 17x11's tonight as well. One word: fuckin badass! Cut the bump stops out to make room. All I need to do is throw the adj. panhard in there and fix the alignment. Headers will hopefully get installed this Wednesday night. Flywheel will be resurfaced, driveshaft will be balanced and hopefully once it's all back together, I'll be cruising! Few other minor touches to be done as well, but nothing crazy. Cosmetic mostly. I'll update again Thursday morning.

That clutch looks awesome! As per header questions last night might have to wait untill tranny is back in to jack up under the bell housing so you can slide the headers down in man. The passeneger literally fell into place rather then trying to mess around wiggling on weird angles its just 100x easier. As for drivers sive like i said unbolt the steering knuckle, oil filter, and possible the valve cover for some room. Took me a bit if manoevering and popped into the place. Oh and be sure to tape them up unless you want urs scratched getting them into place. Let me know if you have any other issues buddy!

Hopefully I can get it done on Wednesday night. My strano springs already arrived and are up at the shop in the car but I woke up to a treat today.

I didn't want to bother ripping the strut box apart to get them out. I'll do that once I'm at the shop. Arn't dey purdy?

Update: June 23rd

Attacked the car tonight with a game plan. Number one item on the list being to get the headers installed. Which we did. In around 2hrs, we had the headers in place, bolted up, all other parts that were removed to get them in were put back on,. The hoist helped huge but damn, I could not fathom doing this swap on my back in a garage. F*ck that lol. I dropped one of my TR55's so need to buy a new pack, otherwise I would have had all the ignition parts installed too. Flywheel was bolted up. Was about to install the pressure plate and clutch, put the new ARP bolts up and they were way too short. Figures. Used the stock ones for now to hold it all together. The trans would have been back in the car tonight if this bolt mix up wouldn't have happened. Oh well.

This coming Sunday, the trans will be installed. Hopefully I get my o2 extensions soon. After that, my Koni's and Strano's will go in. Waiting on an adj panhard from 19Doug90 as well. I picked up a Magnaflow catback for the car after selling my Borla system. Looking for a Pacesetter ORY if anyone has any leads? I had pics from tonight but they turned out shit so I didn't bother uploading them. I'll take more on Sunday and throw them up that night.

Good to hear you got them in! Did you not get the longer intake bolts vs the header bolts? What gaskets did you end up going with the 1406 or 5903s? Just be glad you dont have A/C or the AIR/EGR crap in the way like i did

were you trying to use the arp bolts to bolt the pressure plate on. Unfortunatley at this time arp doesnt make bolts to do this, you are very limited on the bolts you can use, i believe mcloud makes a set, but be ready to be bent over.

Yeah, the ARP bolts are way too short. I don't consider that expensive. I mean, yeah they are bolts in the end but something you need vs something you want. Thanks for the heads up.

I got ARP header bolts that were 3/8 1" long Vetty. Worked perfect. They're even stainless. The gaskets were the metal Mr.gasket ones. One of the part numbers you gave me. Can't remember which one right now though.

Called a few places about bolts yesterday and this morning. Performance Improvements wanted $72 and a 3-6 week wait to get Mcleod pressure plate bolts. I literally laughed at James (queensway) and proceeded to call Brafasco. They had exactly what I needed. Grade 9 hex, 3/8" 2" long 16 pitch bolts. These suckers can hold up to 180,000psi. If you guys need these for your LT1, give Brafasco a call.

This means my transmission is going in Sunday night. Hooooorah!

Nice, ya I called PI on Queensway for Just a stick for an OEM hurst shifter, he said "$300+" as it comes with "rods and hardware" I told him its just a stick and bolts, and he said "not it wasnt, the shifter itself was an additional $325..." I laughed and hungup.
