Re: Project: Z069
looking good. only a couple things i would change get a real high pressure hose made for the power steering, compression fittings weren't designed to hold 3000 psi and sell the clarke fork lift and get a cat...

Thanks for the compliments guys.
Good eye Mr.B on the compression fittings. Was going to change before it went on the road. We actually just acquired a cat, its 10x better I agree.

Looks great! Is that the MAF tucked in right in front of the filter? Wheres your IAT sensor?

Re: Project: Z069
Looks good. Where did you get your accessories? I'm having a hard time snagging up the brackets needed.

Re: Project: Z069
Thanks guys.
SLP MAF tucked in beside filter, will take some closups once finished.
Accessories can be found at Nook and Tranny, great guy to deal with. Google site, tons of stuff and priced very competitive.
No converter, went with the T56 6-speed and Z06 clutch in the picture above.

Re: Project: Z069
Wow Tony!
What a beautiful conversion. I really like the way the motor looks in the engine compartment. I bet you'll get alot better gas mileage than the old 454.
I can't wait to see it in person.
Great job!

Re: Project: Z069
Does that MAF have an IAT built in? It wont idle without an IAT. Regardless I have read more than a few threads with aftermarket MAF's causing fits on LS1's... Its all in the tune and if your MAF scaling is set up for it properly. Regardless if you have issues at all getting it to run ( mainly idle issues ) properly then look here first. I cant say i blame you for running it though it looks WAY better than an OEM maf tucked in nice and neat there.

Re: Project: Z069
Thanks Benny.
Correct guys, stock Corvette harness with some setup for my application. Started her up the other day and had a perfect idle, so you guys must be right with it being built in.
