Post Help wake up my GTA!
Hey everyone!,
Its been awhile since I have posted, but I am looking for some opinions.
A few years ago converted my GTA from a 305 to 350 (from a 90 suburban 2500) installed a mild cam (2032 i believe) 113 corvette heads ,1.6 magnum roller rockers, 24lb injectors, AFPR, and a custome tune from a now "retired" board member 8). Headers and 3" flowmaster cat back. Installed a trans I bought from here with a 2400 stall. Well it works pretty good but just doesn't seem to have the power I wa looking for, best I managed was a 14.02 but it usually around 14.2-14.5. My goal is Mid 13's???
So I figured my intake is my bottle neck so I picked up a plenum and runners ( I will post pics shortly) but I am not sure what to do with the Base. Do I keep the stock one and have it ported (guy on ebay doing it for decent price) is there anyone local? or do I just buy a edelbrock hi flow? Not sure what to do or if I am going in the right direction to get to my goal. I was also planning on changing the flowmastr muffler out for something that flows better and the cat. Also was thinking about bumping up to 3.45 gear?
Anyway your input woulb be appreciated :D

NAWZ

The 3:45 is a perfect match for a LTR tpi 8) Stall will do wonders for ya over the stock stall

if stall is a 2400, leave it, sorry m8 I got no 3:45's around, Daz might

That crane 2032 cam, sux, just so you know
Tim dyno'd 2rwhp over his stock dyno with that cam, yes a mighty 2rwhp  Trigger and Merc didnt do so good with it either.

Intake is a big choke, even ported, thats why the FIRST is alot better LTR set-up

Is your Plenum ported at all? Grab a Holey 52mm TB, you dont need a 58

I would grab the Edelbrock intake or the TPIS Big Mouth and blend everything together instead of Porting out the stocker, but thats only because I am lazy

I wil have to go and confirm the cam to be sure, but it may explain somethings.
Thanks for the input on the throttle body, wasn't sure if upgrading was necessary.
Plenum and Runners had been ported by http://www.corvetteplenum.com/Home.htm
they look great!
I think TPIS stop making the base? no longer on website. The First system is really nice, did you ever get yours installed?

Intake sounds look a good idea to try and widen the powerband if thats what this intake will do. Im sure with some suspension goodies, 3.45-3.73 gear, 3000+ stall, and a good drag radial you should be able to pull that off.

The intake is a must the stocker is suck a choke, just wasn't sure if I should go with porting current one or a edelbrock unit, or possibly a TPIS Big mouth,,,,,Got to keep my eye out for gears for the 9 bolt, thinking 3:45 at most, don't think the TPI would work well with anything more radical.

Checked the cam card today, I was wrong, its a Comp XR264HR12. little more aggressive than the 2032.
With 1.6 RR it has .520 intake .528 exhaust.

Okay, thats a good cam, and you are correct, u dont want to go too high on the stall or the gearing with a LTR set-up

Personaly 3:45's would be a good decent match, but I cant deny 3:70's would give your seat of the pants a fib that makes it fun on the street, lol

Your pics were not showing up for me before for some reason, they look nice :) In yor shoes I would even do abit of blending work on the Edelbrock intake if you chose that way, personaly I am too lazy to port out the stocker, but peeps have had good results donig it.

By "blending" do you mean cleaning up the ruff cast on the inside of each port? I think TPIS does this with there intake, but edelbrocl doesn't, eventhough they are both made by edelbrock.
Seems that everywhere I read about similar set ups as mine, they seem to be getting better results.
