back from paint.

that was fast. but it helps when you have all the prep word done and waiting.

going to give it a day to cure and then give it a light wet sand and polish in the places will be seen after the engine is back in.

cam and heads are done. good thing. turns out there was chunks. missing out of some lobes

now the fun part. stripping out all the old TBI wires and modding the harness to mate with ls1 harness.
its about 90% done and i should be connecting it all tomorrow

years and years ago i bought the heads and cam... just getting to installing them now... like 5 years ago!

its a lunati 232/232 with about 600 lift and a set of ported 706 heads that flow equal to AFR

the fitment was good but they were never intended to still have a 700r4 in there. i had to cut a flange on each side to make room

update

nothing to really see. sorted out some wires cleaned up some wires. got a fuel pump relay issue fixed.

only 3 things outstanding left before i fire it up.
1 fluids
2 making some kind of bracket to mount the coils to
3 finding out where this goes. any one have an idea??????

This looks like the EGR connector. Do you have the pin number and block PCM connector color so I can confirm?

Well the last major job for me to do is now done. relocating the computer from the engine bay to inside where the stock computer was. what a crappy job. over 90 wires cut and spliced at both ends to extend it 4 feet. hours and hours. but its now done!

even got a chance to take the car out for a quick test on the taxi way. Turns out i have a few things to still do before it goes out for a custom Y pipe and tuning

1 header is hitting on the passenger side right down at the collector
2 re bleed the brakes.
3 build a bracket to mount the computer

plus anything else that happens to come up in the mean time
