Post Modding an LT1 version #3
So since picking up a 96 WS6 two summers ago I've been using it as a summer daily driver. They were rated at 310hp flywheel stock and performs good but its time to add somemore! The goal is to run 87 octane and make 300rwhp and keep the budget to $1200. The biggest gain on an LT1 is headers. So I picked up a set of Speed Engineering stainless longtubes with ORY pipe which I will add cats to. Then I found a used "baby" cam and springs which will work good with the factory torque converter and 3:23 gears. Its a Crane 227 210/224 duration @.050 .479/.517 lift with 1.5 rockers. The next part is a larger throttle body but to keep in budget I'm going to bore out a stocker for bigger blades. If I don't reach my goal I can add some 1.6 rockers later.

The rest of the parts have arrived. Got the throttle body apart and ready to bore out. Just need to get some gaskets now.
