Well........I just could not leave the vert sit in the garage all winter without tearing it apart and redoing it.

Started stripping the paint and working on the body already.

Found some holes in the floor but those are the only holes I found.............so far.

That's the plan......but as we all know plans sometimes don't quite work out. I bit the bullet and I am having the 400 completely redone including aluminum heads. How much for a rebuild ??....don't ask as it makes me ill as to how much Pontiac parts cost compared to Chevy.
I hope to be ready for paint in about 3 weeks if I can find someone who is not too busy to paint it. So far I can't find a painter. The motor should be ready about the same time.
Then to put all the pieces back together......maybe another 3 weeks
So...if all goes well we will be on the streets for spring.

Looks great Paul......jealous of the progress, lol!

What i want to know is how, with owning and running your own business and all your other obligations, how do you manage to work so quickly on these projects? Please tell me your secrets because i seem to work on about a 4-5 yr schedule from parts acquistion to installation!!!

I may or may not have a significant change by the time the Nationals role around :D  Factors that shall remain un-named will likely determine that!

Post Re: 1980 Drop Top
well the 2 to 3 weeks at the paint shop has turned into just over 2 months now.......pretty unbelievable. I have been promised that it will be done "next week" now so many times now that I have lost count.
Looks like if all goes well it will be out next week. haha... :rotflol ...I'll believe it when I see it.
The paint shop has set me a back a couple of months, but I'm still hoping to make the T/A Nats with it.
