so i was forced to use the trans am for two days this week cause the daily was in for repairs, now when i turn on the headlights they open up with no issues, but when i turn them off the will either close quarter or half way or stay fully open. sometimes they will close if i keep switching them on and off.. i'm at a loss at what it could be. please help... PS i havent driven the car this yr at all and last year i only put 1000 kms on it |

But they go up perfectly fine, and if i keep switching them on and off they will go down completely.. im thinking bad relay? cause the switch turns off the lights no problem, and if i manually retract them they go down fine |

When you manually retract them do they go down in steps or smoothly? Could be the nylon bushings inside that have fallen apart and crumbled. Had the same thing on my 88, would go up no problem, down would sorta work. Sometimes going up they would sorta work after a while until it stopped working completely. |
