Post 16x10 GTA style wheels
I'm thinking of making an offer on a set of 16x10 Riken mesh wheels. Do you guys think it would be worth while for the extra 2" width?
These are the wheels. The centers would be painted gold

Ok so the only street legal tire I could find that would fit is a drag radial so at best they'd be 2 sets of rears.

So why don't you run a stock 245/50/16 on the front (they will fit) and a 275/45/16 drag radial on the rear? With what you're going to be doing with your car and the power it will be making, you're going to need a better tire in the rear anyways.

Or you can run a 255/50/16 on all 4 paws:

3rd gen. The other thing is the fronts will probably hit the tierods. But I think it would look awesome with 10" wide wheels on the rear. I don't know. If they were 17" or 18" diameter I wouldn't even question it.

The backspacing looks way too big as a GTA wheel is way deeper on a 8.5 and those look like they are way closer to the fron then the rear side

While I love Ronals, I never really liked them on 85-90 Trans Ams. I think they look best with a mesh style wheel. Ideally I'd get my hands on a set of 17X9.5 Epsilon Mesh in 3rd gen fitment. They exist but are crazy hard to find. The HRE 501 would look amazing but unless I win the lottery I'll NEVER pay the $1900 a piece for them. These wheels are sold so that kinda ends any debate about them.

I used to own an 87 Z28 that had these exact same wheels just in black. I ran 245/50R16 on the fron and 255/50R16 on the rear. Never had a problem with tire rub or contact with front end parts. Great wheel too. Much lighter than the GTA crosslace and a deeper lip. They'll look sharp on that car!

They don't have a deeper lip. The lip is about the same as a REAR GTA wheel. The Front GTA's have a much deeper lip then these.

I agree that they look great however 8)
