Probably true, I just don't want it to break while driving and then bang around and wreck something else under the car.

So, is a 35mm solid too much?? I'd just be doing the front, not the rear.

Yes its too big if your keeping the stock rear bar.

Your car will oversteer bad,it may be alright dry but when it rains it could be very tricky.

Get a stock set off a Z28 or TA 30/19 you should be able to pick them up cheap.

Or you could get the 35mm but pick up a 3rd gen 24mm rear to match you can get them cheap as well.

The 3rd gen rear bar fits the 4th gens.

I think you meant understeer bad ;)

Everytime i put a bigger REAR bar, the car oversteers easier, but a smaller rear bar will keep understeer in the chassis.

I thought the bigger bar would plant the front, why do drag cars use such a large rear bar then?

That's to reduce rear end twist wich is power peing spent not moving the car forward as well as keeping the rear thrust angle as square to the chassis as possible I believe.
I like to go to as many drift events as possible (as a spectator) and even know a semi-pro. If a drift car has suspension work done on thing it will have is a very stiff rear sway bar.

Out of all of this I think it has to be said that it would depend on the rest of the combo including the springs. best way is to try different sway size

More than likely it would benefit more from new shocks and struts (assuming they are still original) so that the swaybar didn't have to work so hard trying to keep the car leveled out

I agree. sway bar is usually a "helper" for springs/shocks..Stiff springs dont need giant swaybars and soft springs need stiff sway bars generally speaking.
