Re: T56 Throw out bearing
flame wrote: Well it was new at one time..........is there even a pilot bushing left in the crank? Make sure when you install it that you line up the paint mark on the pressure plate to the white X on the flywheel or you chance making a vibration There is no white X on the flywheel. So how do I know where to line it up to? Also, what are the GM torque specs for the flywheel to crank, bell housing to engine and tranny to bell housing? Have all the parts now, flywheel looks like new again too. Ready to get back at it.

Re: T56 Throw out bearing
Ok, so the pilot bearing is there, and it is in pretty tight. Is it worth changing with a new one? If so, how do you get it out off the crank shaft?

Re: T56 Throw out bearing
It's alive!!! Got the new clutch, pilot bushing, pressure plate and throw out bearing installed. Transmission went back in Thursday and new tranny oil was put in. Buttoned everything up and drove to the show today and everything was real smooth. I guess I did something right...LOL Thanks for all the info everyone, makes it easier when you can ask the questions and have knowledgeable people steer you in the right direction
