Welcome Kev.
I use photbucket for my pics as well. I just copy and paste IMG links from photobucket to my post and there we go....

Is photobucket the only way to get the photos up?

You can just attach them to you message, but they come out smaller sized and there is a limit to your attachment size, whereas if you c/p the IMG links you can have better quality/larger pictures in your message. It doesn't have to be photobucket specifically, there are many good photo sharing sites out there, its just the one I use.
I find if you plan on sharing alot of photos the IMG link method is the best way to go.

Having a hard time getting an avatar up due to the size requirements.

in that case, I use paint and make the image a little smaller. The graphics may get a little skewed depending on the size of image you are starting with, but I find its the simplest method.

I will second (or is it third) the coments on the wheels.

I think I saw the car at the Brampton Cruise a couple of weeks ago. The wheels really make the car pop out. Oh yeh there is the bright yellow paint also.

Great to have another 'Bird in the CCFBG flock!
