They were at 90% though. I had 32s when I made 429 rwhp on my HC package in 2004. I used 38s in my 412ci LS2 that went 10.78@127, with 520 rwhp.
Anyway, you do not need that big of an injector for a HC motor. 42's will be fine. I can get my 60's to idle fine and passed etest no prob But Why? Seems stupid to put an injector that can make 700+ in a motor making 450-480. You might be able to tune it, but it is easier with a proper sized set. It is like putting a dominator carb on 350hp sbc. Not to mention the proper sized ones are less money. Unless a dry shot is in your future then they are the right choice. That said I will likely put bigger set in mine as it made 705 in 90 degree weather. So when the cool air comes it will need more fuel.

Watched a couple of clips with the use of the FMS 13, sounds very nice with good hp numbers.

Not sure if the numbers are 100% correct below, but just found this guide. Fuel Injector Size Calculator Horsepower (at the flywheel)____________ 500 Number of Injectors _______________ 8 B.S.F.C. * _______________ 0.5 Max Duty Cycle in % ** ________________ 80 Required Injector Static Flow Rate @ 43.5 psi lb/hr_______ 39.06 lb/hr 410.15 cc/min I got the injectors for a great deal with only a few k's on them. I will be running my car with the stock injectors after installation of the listed mods. If more flow is required, out come the 42's. Dry shot? Oh no, please don't give me any ideas

Re: Top end kit for LS motor suggestions
Being that it is an LS1, I guessed that you would be using the LS1 normal pressure of 60 psi, I had not consiedered that a lower pressure would be used. Mine in fact seems to run a little high, at idle I see 64-65 psi and and at WOT, it does fall off to 61-62. Lower pressure does need a bigger injector. At 60 psi it wouldshow 33 vs the 39@43.5psi.
If you already had the injectors, then it removes one of my biggest concerns (cost). I was just suggesting I have seen many buying more injector than needed, with the proof being my motor making over 700 flywheel with the 42s.

Does it make a difference pressure wise that I actually have a 2003 Corvette LS6 block? It is completely stock and dynoed before the H/C swap at just under 340rwhp. Engine was sold to me with 241 heads, hence the H/C swap.

Re: Top end kit for LS motor suggestions
The blocks the same its just a different alloy and has improved windage thats why those things spun so nice. The parts interchangability was pretty much exactly the same though with the other LS engines of the day save the odd man out lil 4.8. Anyways the tune is whats key Ive seen stock LQ9's with massive snails idling away with ease at 900 RPM on 60lber's so dont worry about the 60lb'ers as much as you should worry about whos going to tune it, then follow their advice. If ot blows up? Dont go back, If it runs GREAT? Tell everyone LOL

Re: Top end kit for LS motor suggestions
I'm running 60lb injectors on my car, got them cheap. Idle is 850 rpm, can do 800 but I found it had a slight gurgle to it while 850 runs near silent (save for headers).

Re: Top end kit for LS motor suggestions
Cam is right, You need better valve springs to run this baby. First I need to get it out of the car to inspect and make sure it is still in good condition. I don't expect anything wrong with it but you can never be 100% sure until it's actually our of the car. Once it's out I'll post it in the for sale section.
