Re: Project: 94 Fire-Am... New Video
Modding is an expensive hobby, if you haven't saved up for a house, might be a good time to start since it looks like were moving towards a bit of a price correction on prices.

Re: Project: 94 Fire-Am!
New mod for over the winter is doing the lt1 to ls1 brake setup. Picked up complete spindles everything intact and in great shape. Rotors and pads look practicly new and will likely reuse unless i have the cash for some zinc coated drilled and slotted rotors. Going to pull them apart and clean them up and paint them ready for next spring when i pull it out of storage. Just have to put on the xmas list a set of stainless braided lines! Best part is i bought an aftermarket WS6 Ram Air box for $10 when i was at the TA Nats in Ohio this past summer and flogged it for $160 which paid for my the brake swap! Trying to keep to the plan and not spending barely any money on this car now that things are starting to go my way with it. Hoping for good things in 2013! Quick picture for difference's from LS1 to LT1

Re: Project: 94 Fire-Am!
Did you reuse your lt1 lines? Trying to figure which length lines I need to run and use up my gift certificates at wildgoose perf for some stainless braided ones.

Re: Project: 94 Fire-Am!
Finally killed my 10 bolt Knew it was on its very last leg and was just a matter of time before it bit the dust. While i was out getting the car quickly undercoated the owner always wants me to give it a little jam when i leave but told him that if i do it and it blows the next spray is on him. He was like ah its fine and it was... somewhat. On the way home i noticed when coming to stop it started to clunk but only on decel just as it was about to stop. Well fast forward to Sunday morning on its way to storage i leave the drive way and now the clunk is all the time. Got half way down the street and knew there was no way it going to make it nor would i trust it. Either a bearing is letting go or ive shaved a couple chunks off the pinion. In short its being flatbedded to storage and ill have to wait till spring to open it up and see how bad it is. Good thing is the 8.8 is going to be finished over the winter ready for spring! Now to try and see if i can get a free oil spray on my truck coming in next .

Re: Project: 94 Fire-Am!
Well another year down and alot of broken parts and fustration. List of what broke and needed to be replaced:
EWP Bearing T56 Rebuild - Lost 5th and 6th Gear Accel Injector Fail - Ford Red Tops Replaced Beehive Springs Floating - Dual Springs Replaced 1.6 Comp Pro Mag Rocker Replaced Header Gasket LS7 Lifter Failure Valvetrain Tick Still Present - Finally Gone After Guideplate Machining? 10 Bolt Rear Blew Up
I think i got to drive the car maybe 5 times this summer being on and off the road the whole time. Dan drove my car tuning it more then i did LOL. After alot of debate and coming to the conclusion on a few occasions the car will be likely parted come spring when its out of storage. The car is still a long ways away from being where i want it to be and it needs another big chunk of change to get there. That kind of money can buy a fully built dialed in car so i would be foolish to dump that kind of money into my not so nice shell when i can get a low mileage clean turn key car. I love the car but time to start thinking smart as i got big things coming my way in the near future and have no more mod money left to spend. So chances are car is more then likely coming apart or if the slight chance i keep it ill just find a cheap 10 bolt to put in place to get it moving again.

Re: Project: 94 Fire-Am! Last Video of this Build
Matt I know its sad but when I got rid of my boat anchor LT1 it was the best thing I ever did. I have 1/4 the money into this thing and its gone quicker and faster. Get a 98-02 F car, C5,C6, or a Goat a stripped PU with a 5.3 anything with an LS will out perform the 94 with minimal mods. There are guys running a stock 5.3 in a reg cab PU with one turbo going 10's. Good Luck with the part out
