Re: 305-350 swap
Time to resurrect this thread.
Looks like all the stars aligned and I'm the proud owner of a Black 92 Z28. Car is currently being stored for me by a friend in Michigan. Will drive it up here when it warms up a bit.
Questions I have:
What's the best way to go about securing insurance for the drive up as well as when it's in Canada? I have my GTP for the daily driver and would store the Z28 in winter. Anyone have classic car insurance? With whom? How much?
Will be buying almost all my parts from the US. Just have to decide on a 350 build or go with a 355 or even 383? Thoughts?
Can't wait to get started!

Re: 305-350 swap
To me SBC is a dead issue as LS stuff is way better bang fr the buck hands down anyday. As for insurance I use regular as I want to drive my car without restrictions and when I want.

Re: 305-350 swap
Thanks.
I've wanted one since before I could drive. Car runs strong and it's a great base to start the transformation. Will need a good scrubbing in the engine and exterior, new weatherstripping and lastly refresh the paintjob.
I'll post some pics.

Re: 305-350 swap
SWEET! That last picture got me excited because of all the other cars in the background.
Well, I'm looking forward to starting this new journey and hopefully building something unique and fun!
