Replacement panhard bar
I tried to get a factory GM replacement panhard bar and they no longer make the performance replacement.
My car sits at the factory height and the adjustable versions don't entice me. Karbelt quoted me $300 for an adjustable Lakewood bar. I can't afford this option.
I see several none-adjustable tubular control-arm and panhard replacements with urethane bushings on Ebay for $110 to $140 in US funds. Only $89 for the panhard bar alone.
Is anything reasonable available locally?
Any advice is most welcome.

Thanks, Ken The factory performance part was just a stock piece with stiffer bushings. Your SS came equipped with one. Founders Performance has decent stuff at reasonable prices. The other cheap trick is to weld some flat stock to the bottom of the stock part to reduce the chance of twisting under load.

If your doing the welding with the part on the car make sure you unhook your battery.

Why do you want to replace the stocker? If it is for stiffness, see if the Moog replacement bushings (if available) are the stiffer type. I know the Moog LCA replacement bushings are the 1LE units.

Thanks a million guys!
As to the question of why? I'm questioning the bushings. There are some creaking/squeaking sounds coming from the rear suspension while driving over speed-bumps.
It seemed easier to upgrade the arms and bar to tubes rather than change the bushings in the existing equipment.
I had to change the fuel pump. The diff was coming out anyways. The labour was already paid for to remove the bars so I thought of making a change.
My mechanic found no fault in the bushings for the control arms and bar so the car is back together. Now it has a new Racetronix fuel pump and wiring harness.
However, I still have the creaking sounds driving over speed-bumps. It's not stopping me from driving the car. It's just annoying.

Check the sway bar bushings. You can wrap some Teflon tape on the bar to lube things up..

Thanks for the quick advise 6speedIROC.
The mechanic happened to note a small crack in one of the sway-bar bushings so I'm off to Canadian Tire for a new set of HD sway-bar kits. I'll use Teflon tape for the installation.
