305 TBI Upgrades
Yes I know its archaic technology.
I own a 91 RS convertible with the 305 TBI motor. I would like more horsepower but I am not ready to commit to a full driveline swap at this time. The car is used far more for day trips and cruising so I am not looking to create a street stormer.
My question is simple.
What modifications would you recommend? I would put a preference on something that could be repurposed in an engine swap. My thought would be investing in new headers and exhaust.
The engine is relatively unmolested at this point, I have only replaced the air intake with a dual snorkel from the older 5L HO carburated, which required a spacer.
I have enough mechanical aptitude to be dangerous but enough common sense to know what is beyond my capabilites.
Suggestions?

Re: 305 TBI Upgrades
Headers and exhaust are always a good place to start!
Have you had a look at the RPO sticker on the car? Curious what rear gear is in the car.....a lot of the 305 TBI cars had something terrible in them like a 2.73. Swapping to a something like a 3.23 would definitely give it a little more pep in its step.
